The book Sophia and the Spirits actually came about through the real life experiences of my granddaughter and from the many ‘house clearings’ and ‘paranormal investigations’ I have attended. I have found that a lot of parents just don’t know where to turn to when their child starts telling them they have spirits in their home, or they are being visited by their deceased relatives. I have also found it extremely frustrating when you attempt to access information only to find that there really is little to no resources out there for this type of phenomena that focuses directly on children and their experiences. I wanted to be able to give something to the parents out there who feel they are at their wits end and really want to help their child, and at the same time to let these kids know how to help themselves. Sophia was lucky to have a nanna around who could also sense the spirits and who could help her and give her the tools to be able to deal with the spirits on her own. Not everyone has that luxury, but by having the book you can now teach your children how to handle the different types of spirits and give them that sense of empowerment.
Sophia and the Spirits is a book that teaches children about the different types of spirits that are around us all the time. It helps kids to be able to tell the difference between the good spirits and the ‘not so good spirits’. Through Sophia, you can learn the tools needed to cope with the ‘not so good spirits’, and how you can move them on. This can be empowering!
Sophia’s story helps kids who can see and communicate with spirits know that they are not going crazy, they’re not alone, and that there are many people like them. It can also help the parents of these kids to gain a better understanding of what their child is going through and how to assist them in their journey.
Sophia and the Spirits is a fun way to teach our kids about the different realities that are all around us and can be used as a resource book when dealing with children who have the ability to see and communicate with these spirits.
